Der Syntagma-Platz in Athen erhielt seinen heutigen Namen am 3.09.1843, als König Otto von einem Balkon des königlichen Palastes aus seine Zustimmung zur konstitutionellen Monarchie verkündete, heute ist er ein beliebter Ort voller Athener und Touristen.
